“They” tell me I need to blog to be more “relevant” in the online world.
It is a struggle for me as I feel that technology has led to a level of disconnection, and fostered a more superficial connection within society. We no longer truly share with one another, but in sound bites, memes, shorthand language that indicates we no longer have enough time in our days to actually write a sentence to another, and twits. And yes, I know it’s a tweet, but I feel a twit is a much better description.
Big deep breath- jumping into the blogging world!
Gratitude practice
Today I am grateful for so much…
For a hike with my husband and dog, and the kindness of others we passed,
For the ability to be present and see the tiny ghost pipes beginning to unfurl amongst the leaves of the forest floor,
For the gentle, yet powerful voice of David Whyte as he shared his loss and gift of prose so freely,
And for this Grateful Grief course that is both stretching and helping me navigate the unexpected loss of 2 family members over the last 2 weeks.
Sometimes God pushes me where I need to be.
